Dear friend

yes final year project plays very important role in getting job.
So it is better that project should be done from that category where you think you can do better.

The important thing you should keep in mind that the projet you select should have good scope ( this time robotics and hydraulics have good future) and demand in near future. Also you can collect the sufficient and required amount of data on that topic.
