What qualifications are required to be a journalist?
I Have passed my SSC AND INTER and i had stopped my degree after completing 1st year by some financial issues am i eligible to be a journalist? |

To become journalist you need to be graduate in mass communication and journalism after passing class 12th in any discipline from recognised board with minimum 50% marks and 45% for reserved categories. Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years where as relaxation is given to reserved categories.

Minimum qualifications required to pursue journalism is the completion of (10+2) or equivalent education. Some institutes conduct entrance exam for admission in journalism course.

To join bachelor of journalism you must have complete 10 + 2 or equivalent to this. In some colleges or universities you will enter directly based on merit list. in some colleges or universities you must appear in competitive examination to enter in bachelor of journalism. In India you can do journalism along with mass communication. this is called Bachelor in Journalism and Mass Communication. Following are some Disciplines in Journalism and Mass Communication: 1. To become a journalist it is very important to pass intermediate firstly with good marks.
You must have distinction as because it will help you more. After that you need to pursue Mass Communication to make future in journalism. |
