The qualfications or the eligibility criteria of Drug Inspector exam is that
The maximum age limit permissible is 35 years However for employess of Government of Maharashtra this thing doesnt apply(Age limit) A minimum degree in Pharmacy or medicine is a must to be eligible fro Drug Inspiector. An experience would also count |

Essential : Educational : Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a recognized University . Pharmacy degree obtained must be from PCI approved college . Experience : 3 years' experience in the manufacture or testing of Biological and special products . Interview will be taken by UPSC SECRETORY, JOINT DRUG CONTROLLER INDIA, AND ONE SENIOR PERSON FROM INDUSTRY. question will be technical only and all will be related to candidates experience and profile he worked on and not on General Knowledge. |

as you want the Qualifications required for Drug Inspector Exam see these criteria and do your study. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : you must have hold a degree in Pharmacy of Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialisation in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a University established in India by law. AGE : 35 years and above 21 The upper age-limit is relaxable by 3 (three) years for candidates belonging to Socially & Educationally Backward Classes. 5 (five) years for candidates belonging to the categories of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Women and eligible Ex-Servicemen candidates. Qualifications :
Essential : A. Educational : Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a recognized University or equivalent. Pharmacy degree obtained must be from PCI approved college and candidate be registered with state or central pharmacy council. B. Experience : 3 years' experience in the manufacture or testing of Biological and special products specified in Schedule 'C' and 'C'(1) to the Drugs & Cosmetics Rules, 1945. DUTIES : Duties and functions specified in Rules 51 and 52 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945 include inspection of (i) all licensed drugs manufacturing establishments ii) the plant and the process of manufacture, the means employed for standardizing and testing the drug, the methods and place of storage, the technical qualifications of the staff etc. which are likely to affect the potency or purity of the product, taking samples of drugs from premises of manufacturer/dealers for test or analysis (iii) investigation of cases of spurious drugs and related complaints and (iv) launching of prosecutions for breaches of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and Rules. Postings at - HQ : Central Drugs Standard Control Organizations (CDSCO) Headquarters, Zonal / Sub-Zonal / Port Offices etc. but liable to serve anywhere in India. On vacancy UPSC will give advertisement in employment news or upsc portal. if more candidates will be there then they will do screening with screening test otherwise based on education and experience fit for post they will call candidates for interview in 1:5 ratio at UPSC Dholpur house office. Interview will be taken by UPSC SECRETORY, JOINT DRUG CONTROLLER INDIA, AND ONE SENIOR PERSON FROM INDUSTRY. question will be technical only and all will be related to candidates experience and profile he worked on and not on General Knowledge. later in 90 day they will declare the results and selected candidates will be recommended to govt of India for said posts, Govt will conduct medical check up and police enquiry with in another 60 days and if satisfied they will be undergone for 3-4 months training at CDSCO DELHI and then will be posted at said locations |

The Drug Inspector(DI) examination is generally a State Service under the Health & Family Welfare Department ,conducted by Orissa Public Service Commission(OPSC) ,Maharashtra Public Service Commission(MPSC)as well as Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) etc.....
Qualification: 1: you should have a Bachelor degree in Pharmacy(B.Pharm) or Pharmaceutical Sciences of Medicine in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a recognized University or its equivalent 2:You should have minimum eighteen months’ experience in manufacture. 3:you age should be between 21yr-35yr for general candidates. 3yr relaxation for OBC and 5yr relaxation for SC/ST candidates. 4:You should be Indian citizen 5:You will be selected on the basis of Written examination and Viva Voce a) The written examination will consist of two papers. The examination in Pharmacy(core subject) will be in Paper-I consisting of 200 marks.
