Will I get a decent institute with Mechanical Engineering? I'm a U.P. native so, can I get to MNR Allahabad? I need Mechanical/Electrical Only.

At this marks your AIR should come around 12,000.
With this rank it is very difficult to get a seat in MNR Allahabad even if you are UP native.

You should go through all the available options at the time of counseling and
choose the best possible college.

I would suggest you not to run behind a decent branch because you can get
your branch changed after first year but change of college is not possible.

Once the result of AIEEE is out the seat allotment details of last year will be
available on CCB website.

After scoring 188 out of 360 your AIEEE rank will be less than 10,000. I think you will be able to get to MNR Allahabad with mechanical engineering.

As per your marks your rank will be in the range of 10000 and 12000 you have chances to get in NIT's but your exactly at the border of the cutoff ranks of NIT's

anyways hope for the best but definitely you will get top 100 colleges

in India with these marks I think you know about HS quota and AI quota of different NIT's, As you did not mentioned the details of your state so that i can say you which NIT you belong to and so

I will take an example and explain you

the previlage of having NIT in your state is that you will get a quota called HS quota or generally called as local quota

according this you will have special preference if you get good marks in that state you will highly preferenced and fall into the seat allocated candidates

I will attach a file you just go through it in that you will find one thing clearly that the AI quota (All India ) and HS(Home state) quota will play a prominent role in this the students who got less mark also have a chance to get in HS quota

So if you fall under it you're said to be lucky anyways the attached file is of a NIT,Surathkal

Have a look at it you will get an idea about it

Hii.
You have multuple chance to select the college or university In UP their are multiple college for the engg or other department .
Allahabad has allahabad university famous in all over india..

Choose as per your convinent.
