Re: Reference books to prepare for Bank PO exams
You can refer books of R.S Agarwal for Quantitative Aptitude.Since the general awareness questions will be mainly related to Budget and Five Year Plans,Sports,Books and Authors, Awards and Honors,Science-Inventions and Discoveries.Hence its always better that you go through Newspapers like "The Hindu".Newspapers always contains matter related to the above kind.
Since for the Mathematics part you need to go through the short cut tricks for solving the paper hence books of N.C.E.R.T will be better. |

Re: Reference books to prepare for Bank PO exams
Well Bank exams have questions of very basic standard.
10th level mathematics of level 1 difficulty.and a few level 2 questions To solve these numerical quickly you need to know tables upto 20. and squares cubes upto 20.you also need to remember cube roots upto 20. Further there is a very good stream of mathematics originated in India itself...The VEDIC MATHS... it has certain tricks and formulas that help you reduce complex calculation like squares products of three numbers, division to a childs' play.. in seconds you can do them. you can learn it from CAT books also:: www.vedicmaths.org /introduction/tutorial/tutorial.asp BOOK::www.vedicmaths.org/free%20resources/Books/books.asp http://www.vedicmathsindia.org /book.htm Printed books are also available in market. FOR English you can study grammar from wren and martins book. In addition you can buy:: 1 BANK P. O. & Specialist Officers Exam G. K. Publishers (p) Ltd Rs.410/- 2 Previous Papers BANK P. O. Recruitment Exam G. K. Publishers (p) Ltd Rs.120/- 3 Upkars State Bank Probationary Officers Examination by T. S. Jain Upkars Rs.351/- 4 Sura’s Bank Probationary Officer’s Examination (free Previous Years’ Question Papers With Answer) Sura Rs.350/- And at last i would say practice as much as you can.Including mocks. Practice practice practice and analyze your mistakes and correct them |
