The Common Proficiency Test comprise of a total of 200 marks and in order to crack the test, you will need to score a minimum of 100 marks.
The Common Proficiency Test is based on four sections, each comprising questions based on a particular subject and each of these sections carries marks as follows:

Section I: Fundamental of Accounting= 60 Marks
Section II: Mercantile Law=40 Marks
Section III: General Economics=50 Marks
Section IV: Quantitative Aptitude=50 Marks

Since the marks is distributed as mentioned above, there is no such compulsion to score 50% in each section. Which means if you score a total of 50% (100 marks), you will be declared qualified irrespective of marks secured in each section.
