Name of Post: Assistant Loco Pilot.

Pay Scale :Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay 1900.

No. of Post : 16595 Posts Total including all RRBs.

Selection Procedure : Written Test and Aptitude test.

Minimum Educational Qualification: 10+2 with ITI on specific trades, OR
Diploma in Engineering.(candidates with Higher technical education in respective subjects are eligible like B.E. and B.tech etc. )

Age limit : An candidate’s age must be between 18 years to 30 years as on 1/1/2011(Age relaxations are applicable as per Govt. rules).

Application Fee for Assistant Loco Pilot Recruitment: Rs. 40/- Exam fee could be paid via DD or Indian Postal Order which is available at All Head Post offices in India.

Matriculates having passed ITI course can apply for Loco Pilot profile. ITI must be obtained in streams like Fitter, Mechanic, etc. Diploma holders are also eligible to apply. This qualification must be obtained in any of the subjects of mechanical, civil, electrical, or electronics. Age of the applicant must be between 18 and 30 years.

Eligibility To become a Pilot/ Co-Pilot:

Candidate should have the licence of SPL for which matriculation and 16 years of age is prescribed for appearing for the test. To get a CPL.

Education Qualification:

Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics.

Age limit:
Candidate age must be between the age of 18-30 years.

Height Requirements:

The minimum height should be 5 feet and eyesight 6/6. Remuneration Sky is the limit for hard working people in Aviation.

Procedure:

1.Student's Pilot
2.Private Pilot Licence
3.Commercial pilot Licence

Salary:

A trainee Pilot or Co-Pilot can get a starting salary of about Rs. 60,000 – 70,000.

After 2-3 years, after flying 2,000-3,000 hours, one can become a Flight Commander. A senior commander gets a salary of Rs. 4 lakh – Rs. 5 lakh per month.

The training of a Pilot abroad can cost Rs. 15 – 20 lakh but this amount can be recovered in a few years as the salary is very high for Pilots.

Assistant loco pilot exam is conducted by railway recruitment board .

Educational Qualification of Loco Pilot exam :-

ITI departments are Fitter/Electrician/Instrument Mechanic/Mill Wright or Maintenance Mechanic/Mechanic Radio & TV/Electronics Mechanic/Mechanic Motor Vehicle/Wireman/Tractor Mechanic/Armature & Coil Winder/Mechanic Diesel/Heat Engine/Turner/Machinist/Refrigeration & AC Mechanic

Diploma departments are Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering recognized by AICTE are also applicable.

Age criteria :-

Minimum age -18 years old
Maximum age-30 years old
