i am presently doing b.tech from NIT Durgapur (1st yr). what is the scope if i do m.tech from some good reputed college like iit's or nit's?? would i get good pay packages??? what type of jobs i have to do?? or doing an MBA is a fruitful option. please guide me

See mtech i a good option if u wish to be in technical field while going for mba will switch u in business related field. and job options are good in both areas so not to worry about that

after completing your b.tech from nit you will probably get good job,but for great career prospect it is advice you to go for higher studies.

Both m.tech and mba are in good demand,both will promise you good career oppurtinity.

It is up to you weather to go for m.tech or mba,both will take you to the peaks of success.

there are a very few students who are taking up postgraduation in biotechnology and i think you'll have greater scope and demand if you get a degree from a repured institution

as you are in nit durgapur ....no doubt you will be placed in any reputed firm from the college placement only......
but if you are interested to do m.tech , then it will be best if you do it from iits or nits .....then too you will be placed from the college placement only......
so no need to worry......

i think biotechnology is one of the most emerging fields in india..
as the demand of biotechgnology professionals incresing day by day..so career in this field is really good..it is one of the fields which is not in saturation so you should go for it
and one more thing very few students go for post graduation in biotech..you have dare..go for it

after doing m.tech you can go in the technical field and if you will pursue mba then that willl be more satisfactory in economical way

As per my opinion you should go for MBA from reputed college which will be more fruitful for your carrier instead of M.Tech.

i'll be completing m.sc biotechnology in may 2011. so i'm interested to give gate exam for either doing Ph.D through iit or m.tech in

Mr arjit: i am a student of IIT kanpur biotechnology.Even my departmant seniors are facing trouble getting a decent job leave alone placements from nit durgapur! just check out the placement stta of top colleges to remove your myths..

seek information at cbse pmt site for full e-prospectus.
the syllabus is 10+2 pcb syllabus.
ncert books will be helpful

If you do M.Tech in Biotechnology then it is a very good thing in itself. after completing your M.Tech you'll have various options for job and even for higher studies.

you can placed in any institute as a lecturer, can go for biotechnology engineering in any researcg & development department, can serve any pharmacuetical company,can continue your research in the field of science and technology.
if you go for any of these you'll get good salary packages also..so..all the best for your coming future..
