i am doin my BSC in microbiology this is my 3 yr.. i want to do my Msc in microbiology itself, but i dont know whether there is any scope for that... i have yet not applied for any entrace examz..still thinking whether to apply for JNU university exam because still confused whether i should do biotechnology because its a different field, and as such not interested in that.. please suggest me which entrance do i have to give for MSc in microbiology.. also give me some information about BIOmedical sciences and there entrance examz... pls try to reply to my query as quickly as possible ..........

As per my opinion you should go for M.Sc in microbiology as it would be more advantageous for your carrier instead of msc in biotechnology.

well 1stly i will appreciate your concern and understand your problem very well as this is a very crucial decision to make as for me i will stick to a specialized field and i think microbiology is the answer , look i have came across the same question time and again and i have seen lots of my friends as well as the members over here facing the same problem over the period of time but as a matter of fact my suggestion to all of them is very simple and basic.. but here i will like to explain you a bit further .. look both the fields are good but i will still say you too stick to microbiology because it has a solid and undisputed reason behind it which you can confirm with your teachers biotechnology is a field which has multiple disciplines and following it has a big problem you have to study for too long period and then in the end you will have to be specific with your field in which you want tomake a career or persue research further as now my dear the world is full of skilled and trainned professionals and each one seems to be master in his/her oown field but biotechnology is jack of all trades but master of none till you do specific PHd in some subject out of biotechnology,,i hope you are getting my point , so i will say you to do microbiology and by doing so you will be restricted to a specific field but will not have any confusions for long as what is your specialization but by doing biotechnology you may face such problems ,, i hope this is enough for you to make a independent decision as it is your decision which counts not my suggestion ,, but still glad to help you out and will always be if any further doubt persists in your mind, bye take care and all the best .. good luck dear...

biomedical science course is offered by delhi university.
microbiology is just study of micro-organism and bio-tech is application of biology.....
you can think microbiology as physics and biotech as engineering....definitely the scope for biotechnology is broder but good microbiologists are few in numbers and they are recruited not only by research lab,medical colleges but also by institutions such as nasa to study the prospects of life in outer space

scope for microbiology is good.. as you are doing your bsc in microbiology its better to do msc in microbiology .. dont get confused .. apply for the entrance exam soon ..

microbiology is the part of biotechnology u can prefer as ur wish in microbiology so far i concerned getting job more easier m.sc micro u can do and biotech also have wider scope like in genetic engineer,bio medical reserach like that .....mainly based on ur choice

i think biotechnology is lot better simply because the amount of options it provides you ,you van choose any one field of your interest in biotechnology but thats not the case with microbiology,you have to be always stuck with microbes and there reactions in microbiology,
any ways the choice is for you to make,hope you take the best decision

considering your question ,i should tell you that both the subjects have a great scope in the future ahead.both are eqaully good as well.it depends upon your interests and where you want to contribute through your knowledge will help you make decision between these two.
Microbiology helps you to study abour small micro organism and mamy more.
while Biotechnology will help you to apply the biology in practical life.devloping medicines and in farm about insecticides etc.

hey guys microbiology is the best option. biotech has become like mba,lot of people in this field.
microbiology is booming with new food industries and outbreak of swine flu,bird flu etc.
my name is faraz and im doing msc microbiology from bangalore university,i wil tell u a recent story,a big pharma company came for placements and the teachers forwarded msc biotech students for campus interview,u wil be surprised to know that the company sent them back and askked for miicrobiology studnts bcoz they know aseptic techniques more better. so moral of the story is be a master of one and not jack of all trades.
biotech dont have any good scopes and its not a mother subject,they consist of subjects like cell biology,microbiology,biochemistry,physiology etc.
be the master of microbiology appear for net and gre,get urself qualified,start from junior research assistant,you can become a director of any big companies or research centers.always aim big everything is possible.study for knowledge not money! success wil chase you if u have knowledge.

You can give intrance exam in BPKIHS dharan for Msc microbiology.

scope only to you only after the completion of your goals, and remember where their is a will their is a way


just go through Msc clinical microbiology.

microbiology & biotechnology are the carrier options in 21 st century.although microbiology is related with the microbes which are in human welfare.the result we can see as industrial microbiology, medicinal microbiology.biotechnology is progressing in india slowly but surely.you can take jnu exam for m.sc. but for good packages you need internship & training in both field.microbiology has well settled in our country.after all choice is yours.

according to me you should do Msc in microbiology after Bsc in microbiology instead of doing the Msc in biotechnology ...........
as it would help you to get specialised in one particular field and that would help you to get a good job .........

Hello! Iam very much confused about the entrance exam of microbio bsc hnrs of college.I need to know how to take preparation for this
college entrance exam & how long will be neede for taking preparation for these entrance exam.also let me know wheather these
entrance exam syllabus is based on class XI & XII(bio) or only class XII(bio).
