Should I go for Law or Engineering? Is the career in Law and Journalism unstable?
Hi..my name is Srujana and I've just completed my 10th. My main goal in life is to become a journalist and I'm completely dedicated to it. I want to do law and then go for journalism but my parents are opposed to it. They want me to do engineering and think law is unstable and lawyers have an unstable career. But I'm not interested in engineering. How far are my parents correct? And is law and journalism really that unstable?

Hello Srujana, as you said you completed your 10th hearty congratulations to you.You said you are completely dedicated to law field but you are being forced by parents to go for engg. Its very difficult situation for you to choose but i would rather say go for law because your likes are what matter the most in life.So try to convince your parents and go for law.You still have 2 years in your hand to convince your parents. Go for science stream if your parents want you to. But in these 2 years of junior college try to convince your parents.
And if in case you go for engg do not worry.Because after doing bachelors in engg you can go for bachelors in law.But you cannot go for PG courses directly. Thus after B.E.(i.e. bachelor of engg)hold a first degree in law then have relevant work experience in law related issues. You can go for JD(i.e. Juris Doctorate) after BE. So do not worry and whichever field it may be do your best at it. |

hi friend,
LLB is an excellent course for students who desire to become a lawyer in the future. After 12th exam you can apply to different colleges and universities for admission in to their LLB program. Most of the university will carry out an entrance exam for selecting candidates. Candidates with 45% and above can apply for entrance exams like CLAT, KEE State Level entrance exam etc. good luck |
