Which state will be considered in my domicile certificate? I born in Ludhiana(Punjab) and completed all my education in Faridabad(Haryana)


Hello Sir/Ma'm,
I have query.
I am born in Ludhiana(Punjab). But all of my education has been in Faridabad(Haryana).
I would like to ask you that for which state would i get the domicile certificate??
And also my Ration Card is of Faridabad only. I am a prospective B.Tech student.
And also do suggest the process i have to go through for the certficate.

It does not matter where you took birth and where you completed you studies .

Your state of domicile shall be one in which your parents are residents for atleast 40 years.

If your parents are permanent native of punjab then you shall have a domicile of Punjab.

Suppose you migrate to Delhi and completes there 40 years then your wards shall have domicile of Delhi.

Understand it by following example.

If you are born in Indian and educated in america . your nationality shall be still Indian.

However suppose you migrates to america and your chukds are born there then your wards shall have the nationality of America .
