If I get a rank of 5000 in IIT, which stream I will get admission?

Dear lakshmi

For now you should not bother for your rank in JEE, admission, branch etc.

Just prepare for other exams for which you have enrolled.

As such one can't tell exactly that which branch will you be getting at what rank

because the trend is different every year. Also it depends on the college you choose.

It would be best if you go through JEE counselling brochure of year 2010 so that

you may get to know about trend of admission.

As now the JEE results are not out so its hard to predict what exact rank you can get.
So I will advise you not to think for the rank.You prepare for other exams like aieee or BITS pilani........

But the stream according to rank is hard to predict.I WILL advise you to go for last year counselling.

Ans.If you are not able to get your favourire trade so,dont bother about IIT JEE.Approach to any coaching of Kota such as Bansal,Allen or Resonance.

INFORMATION REGARDING IIT-JEE

It is very difficult to predict exactly the branch or college your are going to get after 5000 rank .Just focus on your studies and after securing this rank ,you will be called for the JEE-Councelling where you will come to know your branch or college. So, don't take tension from now .Just keep working hard.

But according to my thinking you would be able to get the following branches :
(1)Computer science and engineering

(2)IT(Information Technology).


Also a lot more depends upon the nature of college so it is a big matter of fact.

dear friend, you have not clearly mentioned it is for B.tech or M.tech.
if it is for b.tech then you can choose stream whatever you want.

Right now its difficult to predict which branch you will get in IIT.

So it better don 't take tension just keep working hard and at the time of counselling you will get to know in which branch you are getting admission.

This is difficult to predict about the branch and college. If you were selected in IITJEE exam then you will be called for counseling, where you get branch or college. So wait for the counseling and prepare well for getting this much rank.
From 5000 rank you might not get the core branches like Mechanical, civil, electrical, aeronautical engineering. But you might get computer science or IT branch.

hiii friend...here i can help you....if you get rank of 5000....you can get following courses

1..all course in ISM DHANBAD except petroleum engineering....you can get it but there are few chances.....
2..metallurgy in IT-BHU
3. paper and pulp engineering in IIT-ROORKEE ...................

BETTER CHOOSE AMONG THESE OPTIONS............

i got 2298 category rank in jee advanced2013 .....which iits n strems i can get?????
