Are B.E computer science students also eligible to appear for sail ?

SAIL recruits Computer Science Engineers like it recruits engineering graduates of
other disciplines.
The engineering graduates of a particular discipline will be recruited or not, depends
upon the vacancies/requirement available in the company.

Last year (2011) it recruited Computer Science Engineers through its MT recruitment
examination.
The advertisment for MT recruitment exam 2012 has not been published yet.

As soon as the advertsiement of the MT reruitment exam of SAIL is published
the vacancies present in every engineering disciplines will be announced.

To be eligible for SAIL
examination you must have
bachelor degree in one of these
engineering branch.
i) Mechanical ii) Electrical iii)
Metallurgy iv) Chemical v)
Electronics &
Telecommunications vi)
Instrumentation vii) Civil viii)
Ceramics and ix) Computer
Science from a recognized
University/Institute with
minimum 65% marks in
aggregate of
all years/semesters (50% in
aggregate for SC/ST candidates).
For Computer Science
discipline, those having
recognised Master’s Degree in
Computer Applications (3-year
course) with minimum 65%
marks in the aggregate (50% in
aggregate for SC/ST
candidates) are also eligible.
