Eligibility Criteria for SBI Clerk Examination :-

Academic Qualification :-

The Student should be passed in 12th/ Equivalent Examination in any discipline from recognized University .

The Student have to score Minimum 60% Percentage of marks and relaxation will applicable for sc/s candidates .

Age Criteria :-

The Applicant age should be 18 years to 28 years

Upper age relaxation will applicable for sc/st candidates for 5 years and obc candidates for 3 years .

Note :- You should have good Communication skill in English .

SBI Selection Procedure :

The Selection Procedure for SBI clerk exam 2012 , shall consists of a Written Test and Interview taken together.
The Written test will be objective in nature and consists of the following objective tests:

General Awareness
General English*
Quantitative Aptitude*

Marketing Aptitude / Computer Knowledge

There will be penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.Candidates will have to pass in each of the Objective tests separately.The passing marks will be decided by the bank on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates taken together in each of the objective tests separately.

Interviews :

Depending upon the Number of vacancies for the Clerical posts in SBI, the bank reserves the right to call only those candidates for Interview who score preferably higher in the order of merit and will be called in the ratio of ( 1: 3 ) to the number of vacancies.

Final Selection : The Final Selection will be made on the basis of the scores of candidates
obtained in the Written exam and Interview taken together.

SBI Clerk Exam Details:-

~State Bank of India is one of the largest public sector bank in India and its one of the oldest too. Its branches is widespread both in India and abroad. To give this exam certain eligibility criteria needs to be satisfied. Some of them have been listed below:-

~If you are interested to give this exam then you need to be a higher secondary passed out candidate with not less than 60% of marks at 10+2 level.

~If you have a diploma degree then also you can apply but it should be a regular one and its duration should not be less than two years. You need to get 60% in this case as well.

~If you want you can also apply after completing graduation too one can apply. You can do your graduation in any discipline of your choice. In this case you just need to secure the pass marks.

~Your age hould not be less than 18 years when applying for this exam. The upper age limit for general category candidates is 28 years.

~There is age relaxation for the reserved category candidates. For SC/ST candidates it is 5 years, for OBC candidates it is 3 years and for physically handicapped candidates it is 10 years.

~The Selection Procedure basically includes the following stages:- 1) Written Examination and 2) Personal Interview. Final selection will be based on the marks obtained in both the stages of selection.

~The exam is mainly objective type and therefore conceptual. Questions will be of twelfth standard. There is negative marking too. 0.25 marks will be deducted from the original score for every wrong answer you give.

~If you qualify in the written examination then you will be called for the interview session. You need to get minimum 40% in the written exam. It is 35% of marks in case of reserved category candidates. Generally a maximum of three people is called for one single post vacant.
