Which subject to choose after 10th for pursuing B.Sc in Agriculture?
I'm interested in studying agriculture. Therefore, please let me know which subject should I go for after my completion of 10th in order to study B.Sc. in Agriculture from a good college?

B.Sc. ( Bachelor of Science ) in Agriculture is an undergraduate degree course of three years with a good scope in country like India which is agro-based.
The minimum educational qualification required for pursuing B.Sc. Agriculture degree course is a higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology/Agriculture as main subjects from a recognized board of education. So in order to pursue B.Sc. in Agriculture you just need to complete your higher secondary school degree in Science stream from a recognized board. Further for admission in good agriculture college you need to qualify entrance examinations like AIEEA UG held by ICAR and State CETs held by concerned state body. |

B.Sc. Agriculture involves study of agriculture sciences and use of modern scientific equipment and techniques in agriculture, land surveying, soil science, water resource management, animal and poultry management, basics of biotechnology etc. The objective of the course is to use these concepts to train students to improve agricultural productivity
For admission in Agriculture college you have to qualify the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (I.C.A.R) exam.I.C.A.R exam is conducted very year. Education Qualification - HSC or 12th with Science subject. Age - Minimum 17 years. After qualifying in the exam you can take the admission in the various collages of India Some of the top collages of B.Sc Aagriculture are as given below. 1. National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Haryana 2. Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Delhi 3. Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Punjab 4. University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS). Karnatka 5. Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) ,Tamil Nadu You have to select science stream after 10th. So you are eligible to take the admission in B.sc (Agriculture) After 12th. |

The minimum eligibility to appear in B.Sc Agriculture course is that :-
Candidate must have passed 12th with PCM or PCB stream from a recognised board. Candidate's age must be above 17 years. So, you can pursue 12th with science ( PCM ) or PCB stream. To get admission in best college you have to appear in AIEEA conducted by ICAR. |

In order to get B.Sc in Agriculture course in graduation the best stream in 11th&12th standard is Non- Medical stream.
In non-medical stream the subjects are:- Physics Chemistry Mathematics English Optional Four subjects are compulsory and you have choice for one optional subject. For getting admission in B.Sc agriculture you need to give an entrance exam whose education requirement is 12th standard with Physics,Chemistry & Mathematics as compulsory subjects. You can also choose Combine stream which include subjects:- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English & Biology. |

It depends on state you belongs. For example in Andhra Pradesh we have to take PCB stream. For all India wide there is a common entrance conducted by Indian council of agricultural research. We have to write this exam to enter into BSc (Agriculture). Usually you need to take biology, physics & chemistry @11. Go through ICAR website.

To study B.Sc in Agriculture you have to choose science stream i.e Physics,Chemistry,Biology after completion of your higher secondary. You have to score really well in your board exams of class 12th to take admission in a good university or college.
B.Sc in Agriculture is a 4 year course. Following are the list of colleges which provides a degree in B.Sc Agriculture : 1) Haryana Agriculture University 2) Tamil Nadu Agriculture University 3) Punjab Agriculture University 4) Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya Selection will be based on the score of your class 12th and marks in the entrance exam. |

The requirements for Bachelor of Science in Agriculture:
Academic qualification: You must select Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology in 10+2 for admission in B.Sc in Agriculture. You must apply for entrance examination of your state to get admission in top agriculture colleges. |

To be eligible to study B.Sc. Agriculture course, you should have passed 12th standard or Intermediate course with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects from a Government recognised board. Admissions in B.Sc. Agricultural course are done through merit basis of 12th standard board examination marks or through entrance examination conducted by the respective college/ university.

You cannot pursue B.Sc course after 10th class. It is necessary to complete your intermediate level qualification from a recognised Institute. You should also take Physics, Biology and Chemistry as main subjects. After successfully completing your 12th class with the good percentage of marks you can apply for the BSc course in agriculture. The eligible criteria based on the Institute you are applying to.

If you want to get admission in government or better private colleges you have to appear and qualify in AIEEA entrance examination conducted by ICAR.
The eligibility to appear in examination is that candidate must have passed 12th with PCM or PCB as main paper. So, you can pursue any course from above mention list to appear in examination. |

Since you are interested to pursue B.Sc. in Agriculture degree course then for that you need to complete your Class 12th studies with Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Agriculture/Mathematics/Biology from a recognized board of education. Further your aggregate in same class must be atleast 50%. Marks relaxation is allowed for reserved category candidates.

B.Sc Agriculture is four year duration course and required eligibility to get admission in course is that candidate must have completed 12th with science stream or biology stream.
So, if you want to appear in examination to get admission in B.Sc Agriculture course you have to purse 12th with PCM or PCB. The entrance examination is conducted by ICAR and other institutes for admission in course. |
