You are not required to focus on any specific subject. All you need to do is complete graduation course following which you would be eligible for the Indian Police Service (IPS).
Once you have completed the Bachelor of Business Administration course, you would be eligible to appear for the Civil Service Examination by the Union Public Service Commission. This exam is conducted every year and it only requires candidate to have completed graduation course. Eligibility >> Only Indian citizen are allowed to appear for Civil Service Examination. >> A graduation degree in any stream from a recognised university. >> Age Limit is 21 to 30 years for General category. >> There is 3 years relaxation in upper age limit for OBC. >> Five years relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates. Number of Attempts >> General - Four >> OBC - Seven >> SC/ST - No Limit Physical Requirements Height: >> Male: 165 cm for General/160cm for ST. >> Female: 150 cm for General/145cm for ST. Please not it does not include SC and OBC. Chest: >> Male: 84 cm with 5 cm expansion. >> Female: 79 cm with 5 cm expansion. You Haven't need to give extra focus on any special subject all subject is qualified for appearing IPS .but yes, you have to pass graduation with good marks in any stream. Educational Qualification For IPS Indian Candidate have to graduation degree in any stream from a recognised university. Age Limit 21 to 30 years for General category. 3 years relaxation in upper age limit for OBC. 5 years relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates. Number of Attempts General - Four times OBC - Seven times SC/ST - No Limit Physical Fitness Height: Male: 165 cm for General/160cm for ST. Female: 150 cm for General/145cm for ST. Chest: Male: 84 cm with 5 cm expansion. Female: 79 cm with 5 cm expansion. Exam Pattern Preliminary Exam Final Exam Interview |
