i am student of 10 and i want to became a air hostess ,so kindly suggest about subject for taking on 11 and 12 standard and percentage too.

just like the prevoius enquiry, i am in grade 9 and my dream since grade 5 was to become an air hostess as i would like to travel the world and fly. i am at a cross road as i dont know what subjects to take that would be to my advantage in air hostess applications and courses

how many minium percentage in 12th for air hostess course and which course i can do it after 12th.

im in 11th but problem is im sci stream but without math can i become air hostess plzzzz suggest me can i............

As far as subject to take in 11th and 12th standard if you want to become an Air Hostess is concern,You can opt for any stream in 10+2 and Graduation in any subject is definitely an added advantage because it has become the minimum eligibility criteria for most airlines. It is however, not compulsory to have an honours degree in graduation.It is better if you also enroll in a foreign language course as that will help you with a job in a foreign airlines

Starting salary for freshers is good. One can expect anything from Rs 20,000 to Rs 25, 000per month. A head flight attendant can earn anything up to Rs 60,000 per month depending upon the years of experience and organization.

Although most of the airlines need a person who is 12th pass, some of the airlines prefer graduates. Some of the reputed airlines even demand a graduation with specialization in Hotel Management and Tourism. Fluency in English, Hindi and any of the International languages will be an added advantage. For most of the airlines, the minimum age is 21years and the maximum is 25yrs.
The girl who pursue to become an Air Hostess must be unmarried (some of the airlines employs married women though). She should be at least 157.5cms with normal eyesight of 6/6 uncorrected in botheyes. Minimum arm reach of 212cms is a must since she may have to reach the emergency equipments. She should hold a passport. She should not be overweight.
The next most important criteria to become an Air Hostess are that, she should have a pleasing personality, must be capable of remaining calm even under the worst circumstances. She should not lose her control even though the passengers irritate her by asking the samequestions, repeatedly asking for food, water etc. She should have common senseand a sense of responsibility

As part of the screening process the candidate will have to sit for a written examination followed by a group discussion followed by a personal interview. If the candidate does well in all the above said things, she will be on training for 3 months. In those training sessions she will learn about the safety and first aid, how to serve and mingle withthe passengers etc.
There are both short term and long term courses. The duration of short could be between 3 to 6 months. The long term course is for a minimum of one year

Its very good that you want to become a Air hostess. Air hostess is one of the highest paid job in the country as of now and as India's aviation industry is still in Childish stage then we can see some new jobs in the future also because of the expansion of the industry. Also government has approved FDI in Aviation so there is a lot more job to come in future.

See you asked about the eligibility and subject criteria then let me tell you that studies and not that much required in Air hostess job and you can become a Air hostess with a mere 12th pass qualification.

But the job do have other requirement which are as follows :-

1. Fair color
2. Neat face with no spot on face
3. Good Height
4. Girl should have slim body
5. Must have excellent communication skill
6. Hands should also be long
7. Must have courtesy in Behave
8. Must have capacity of problem solving and situation handling
9. Must be willing to work with lots of long schedule
10. Must have passport

So it doesn't matter from which stream you are if you want to apply for Air Hostess courses.

there is no subject or course required to become airhostess.
However, you should keep in mind the following thing.

You should have minimum of 12th or graduation
Your age should be between 20-26 year.
and your hight should be more than 157.5 cm without slipper.

You can take any subjects in your 11th and 12th and continue your HSC with it.
