Students after passing 10+2 are eligible to sit for the NIFT exam. They dont need to be a graduate.

NIFT stands for National Institute of Fashion Technology. Here's a list of the courses that the institution has to offer:- B.Des in Fashion Design, Leather Design, Accessory Design, Textile Design, Knitwear Design and Fashion Communication and bachelor's degree in fashion technology in apparel production.

For B.Des you need to have a three or four years' diploma degree from a recognized AICTE approved institution or Sate Board of Technical Education.

For B.Ftech you need to have physics, chemistry and mathematics at 10+2 level.

Selection Procedure:-

• General Ability Test (GAT)
• Creative Ability Test (CAT)
• Situation Test

For GAT Questions will come from the following sections:-

• Quantitative Ability - 25 Questions
• Communication Ability - 35 Questions
• English Comprehension - 30 Questions
• Analytical Ability - 30 Questions
• General Knowledge and Current Affairs - 30 Questions

Next is the Creative ability test which aims at seeing the intuition skill, observation ability and the design ability of the candidate. How you put your ideas to good use and use the colours are usually seen. At last comes the situation test where you will be called after assessing your overall performance in the first two exams. Here you will be given a set of materials and how good you are at handling that will be seen.

Fee Structure:- You have to pay around Rs. 67,800/- per annum.
