Which subjects should I take up for mains for IAS exam? Best books to be referred?
Sir I want the complete guidance regarding how the IAS exam is going to be? How to start preparing for it? and what are the best subjects to take up for mains? what are the best books to refer? totally I need complete direction to study and crack the IAS 2013.Pls help me out.

choose your subject according to your strength.well it is said that IAS is easy in history,geography as compared to other subjects.if you take physics,chemistry and maths you have to go through deep concepts.however optional and main subjects is given on the website and rules and regulations are also provided on www.upsc.gov.in
for books refer current affairs books general studies and your subject books which you can buy from flipkart.com where u will get most rated book by users. also see news daily so that your current affairs are regularly updated. |

which optionals will be best for me to take for civils mains? I completed my B.Tech but i dont want to take Engineering subjects as optional.Please suggest me the optionals which i can prepare and for which i can get good material and will be easy to score. Waiting for ur reply. |
