Syllabus for Bank PO and Clerk Exams?
i want to know bank po and clerk exam syllabus. i have applied for the exam but not aware of which syllabus to prepare

Syllabus for Bank PO examination
•-> Quantitative Aptitude (50 Questions) •-> Logical Reasoning (50 Questions) •-> English (50 Questions) •-> Computer Knowledge (50 Questions) •-> General Knowledge (50 Questions) Duration of Exam - 2 hour 30 minutes. Resent Bank PO Exam ,IBPS (Collective exam of 19 banks) on 18-09-2011 GOOD LUCK |

Syllabus for bank clerical exam is 1)general knowledge 2)numerical 3)reasoning 4)computer knowledge for PO is the syllabus almost same extra is one essay is there , but the questions here are much tougher than clerical. |

The syllabus for bank P.O exam and clerk exam is not tough but its quite lengthy. you need a lot of practice in order to crack the exam . The syllabus comprises of the following subjects : 1. Numerical Ability. 2. Logical Reasoning questions. 3. Basic computer knowledge. 4. Marketing question section. 5. General Awareness section. Take into consideration that every section has negative marking if the answer is wrong. Logical Reasoning and numerical ability holds the maximum marks. The one of the best book to prepare is R.S.Agarwal. Best of luck .. |

Make sure that you have these criteria as well Criteria for PO : 1.Academic qualification : the candidate should complete graduation with at least 50% marks. 2.Age limitation : The age of the candidate must be within 21 to 30 years. Criteria for Clerk : 1.Academic qualification : The candidate must complete 12th standard with decent marks 2.Age limitation : the age of the candidate must be within 18 to 28 years. 1-Test of Reasoning- *Verbal Reasoning- Analogy, Coding – Decoding, Blood Relation, Sitting Arrangement, Circle solving Puzzle, Greater than less than solving, Series Completion, Syllogism, Decision Making, Letter number series, Statement Reasoning *Non-verbal Reasoning- Series Completion, Mirror Images, Cubes and Dice, Grouping Identical Figures Classification. 2-Test of English Language- Comprehension Passage, Passage Correction, Sentence Correction, Sentence Rearrangement, Correct Spelling Identification, Vocabulary- Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion Grammar portion- Active Passive Voice,Tenses, Verb, Direct Indirect Speech etc. 3-Test of Numerical Ability- Numbers, Simplification, Roots, Average, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Ratio & Proportion, Partnership, Chain Rule, Time & Work, Pipes & Cisterns, Time & Distance, Problems on Trains, Boats & Streams, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Stocks & Shares, Clocks, Mensuration, Data Interpretation, Permutation & combination, Probability, Heights & Distances. 4-Test of General Awareness with special reference to banking industry- This portion will include all important financial news, awards and honors, elections, trophy's, and terms introduced in last 6-8 months, books and authors, important days etc. 5-Test of Computer Knowledge- In this portion basic knowledge of computer to the candidate is checked out.
