Am I eligible for Bank PO and Bank Clerk exam?


Hi There,

I want to know that am I eligible for Bank PO and Bank Clerk Exams as I have got 53% in 12th std and 56% in Graduation Level and 72.20% in Post Graduation Level and I am 27.

Please give me the details about all the Bank PO and Bank Clerk exams.

Yes, you have all necessary qualifications to join bank. Graduation is the basic qualification required. Graduates can apply for IBPS clerk and P.O posts. Upper age limit for clerk is 28 years. In case of P.O, the upper age limit is 30 years.

Bank Po & Clerk examinations have to types IBPS & SBI

Clerk Eligibility :

Candidates complete 12th stands with min of 60% aggregate from a recognized university (OR) any degree from a recognized University

Candidates age limit between 18 to 28 years

upper age relaxation as per govt rules

Bank Po Eligibility :

Candidates must be complete Graduation from a recognized University

Candidates age limit between 21 to 30 years

The upper age relaxation as per govt rules

IBPS BANK CLERKS exams:

Bachelors degree pass in any stream
Minimum age to apply is 20 years
Maximum age to apply is 28 years

Eligibility of Bank Clerk:

First the candidate should be citizen of India.

The candidate should complete the 12th with 60% of marks (or) complete the Graduation.

Candidate age limit is 18 to 28 years.

upper age relaxation is applicable.

3 years for OBC

5 years for SC\ST.

Bank PO Eligibility:

Candidate should be Indian.

Candidate should complete the Graduation with min 55% of marks.

The candidate age limit is 21 to 30 years.

upper age relaxation is applicable.

3 years for OBC

5 years for SC\ST.

Selection Process:

Eligibility for Bank Recruitment Exams

(a) Public Sector Banks:

age:--

PO --- 20 to 30 years
Clerical --- 20 to 28 years

Minimum Education Qualification

(a) Public Sector Banks:

PO --- A degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Clerical --- A degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

(b) Regional Rural Banks :

Office Assistant(Clerk) - Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent

Officer Scale-I --- Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent

Officer Scale-II (GBO) --- Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate. Experience --- Two years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.

Officer Scale-II (Specialist Officers)

Yes, you are eligible for Bank PO and Bank Clerk Exams as you fulfill all the necessary criterions.

IBPS conducts the recruitment exam known as common written exam(CWE) for Bank Clerk post for 19 public sector banks except SBI which conducts its own exam separately.

♦ Eligibility criteria for IBPS Bank Clerk Exam:

• You should have completed 12th standard in any steam with Mathematics subject from recognized school.

• You should have achieve minimum of 50% marks(60% for SBI Bank).

• Your Age should be between 18 to 28 years for General(18 to 31 for OBC & 18 to 33 years for SC/ST/PD candidates).

• You must be an Indian citizen.

The best exam for Bank exam is IBPS(Institute of Banking Personal Selection) exam. The IBPS exam conducts under 19 public banking sectors.

Yes you are eligible for bank po and clerk exam.

To apply for ibps po or clerk exam you will have to fullfil the eligibility criteria for ibps exam.

To apply for ibps po exam candidate should have graduated degree with 60% marks from recognised university.

To apply for clerical posts candidate must be pass graduate degree in any stream or equivalent from any recognised university.

Age are same for both po and clerk.

Age should be minimum 20 year and maximum 28 year for po & Clerk.

Relaxation for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe 5 years Other Backward Classes 3 years Persons With Disability(PWD ) Candidates 10 years
Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex- Servicemen actual period of service rendered in the defence forces with 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years.

Sorry to inform you that you have scored good marks in Post Graduation but you have not scored well in Graduation.Thus you will not be able to apply for Banking exams which are taken in India.To apply for any banking exams for any post either PO/Clerk minimum marks required is 60% and minimum educational qualification is Bachelor degree pass out.One important part related to this exam is that Bachelor degree marks in considered.

Yes you are completely eligible for both the Bank Clerical as well as the Bank PO Exam.

The Banking Exams are conducted every year for the below mentioned posts :

* Bank Clerk

* Bank PO

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection as well as the State Bank Of India conducts the Banking Exams every year.

The Eligibility Criteria for both the Bank Clerical as well as the Bank PO Exams are almost the same but differ only in the Age Limit criteria.

The Eligibility Criteria for Bank Clerical Exam are :


** The candidate must have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university.

** There is no any requirement of specific percentage of marks in graduation.

** The age limit for the exam is 18-28 years for those candidates who belong to Open Category.

** A relaxation of 3 years is given to OBC Candidates whereas SC/ST Candidates are given a relaxation of 5 years in upper age.

** The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

** Both Male and Female candidates are allowed to apply for the exam.

** Number of Attempts :

candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have

To get the eligibility for bank PO and clerk(PSU/Govt.)you have to complete your graduate degree in any discipline having minimum pass marks from a recognized University/Institution.

Age: should be within 21-30 years, relaxations for OBC/S/C/S/T 3 / 5 years respectively.

Nationality India.

Clerk candidates to clear.

1.Written,
2.Interview.

PO to clear:-

1.Written.
2.G.D.(Group Discussion).
3.Interview.
