Diploma in Mechanical engineering will almost cover all the subjects which is included for Mechanical B.tech students. But the main difference between diploma and B.tech students are B.tech students study their course in depth therefore they have more knowledge when compared to diploma students. After completing diploma in Mechanical Engineering you can join the Engineering course by going though exams like IIT JEE, AIEEE and State wide common entrance test conducted separately for diploma students.

I have attached the syllabus here hence please go through it.
The syllabus will change from University to University hence the syllabus which I have attached here may not be the same one which you follow in your Diploma course i.e one or two subjects may change but all together the syllabus remains the same.If you would have mentioned the University where you want to go through your diploma course then I would have attached the exact syllabus but overall all these subjects are from the core side of Mechanical Branch.
