Are there any chances available to join Indian Air Force?
Am archana, I completed 10+2 class, now am studying 1st year B.tech in aerospace engineering branch, if any chances are their to join indian airforce now?

If your 12th standard subject are PCM from a recognized university then you are eligible Indian Air Force through NDA exam. Your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years. After completion of B.Tech degree, you can join Indian Force through CDS exam. |

Yes, you are eligible to join Indian Air Force after completing the B.tech degree through CDS.
CDS examination is conducted by UPSC twice every year. The eligibility to appear for examination for recruitment in Air Force is candidate must have passed B.tech/B.E or have B.Sc in Physics or Mathematics. The age limit to appear for examination is 19-23 years. So, you can appear for examination. The examination is conducted in two stages and it is necessary to qualify in all stages for final selection. For more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

As you have mentioned that you are at present pursuing first year of engineering, there is no opportunity at present for you to join Indian Airforce because at 10+2 there is one entrance exam called NDA/NA exam for which unmarried male candidates are only eligible for exam. So, you can not apply for NDA exam.
You will have opportunities when you will be appearing for final year exams of engineering. In final year of engineering, you will be eligible for Air Force Common Admission Test as well as Combined Defence Services for which both unmarried male and female candidates are eligible. |

You are eligible to apply for Indian Air Force after completion of aerospace engineering. AFCAT is the entrance exam to be qualified after graduation to join Indian Air Force.
