could u please tell me whether Are there any IT jobs in Railways?

hello friend,

for the IT grdaute students have the Group A posts.
In india Railways so many jobs for all types of graduate.The posts in railways are divided into four groups. They are:

Group A
Group B
Group C
Group D

Entry into the Group A posts is done through the Civil Services Examination and Combined Engineering Services examination. These examinations are conducted every year through the Union Public Service Commission.

The list of Group A services is as follows:

Indian Railway Traffic Service
Indian Railway Accounts Service
Indian Railway Personnel Service
Assistant Security Officer in Railway
Protection Force Indian Railway Service of Engineers
Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers
Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers
Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers
Indian Railway Stores Service

For entering the Group A services of the railways, the candidates have to appear for the Civil Services examination.

The Examination Process generally consists of the following papers.
The syllabus for the Written examination :
General Knowledge
General English
General Arithmatic
Analytical and Quantitative Skills
Subject of respective posts.
Another Skill Test / Interview if the RRB considered after qualify the written test.

No examination fees for SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Physically Handicapped / Women/ Minorities / Economically backward classes candidates having annual familyincome less than Rs. 50000/
For Unreserved Male / OBC Male :Examination fee of Rs. 60/- for each application.

RRB exam notification:
closing date for receipt of applications by posts will be 24-04-2012
Date of Exam:09.09.2012

Railways offer various job opportunities for aspirants who have completed their graduation in Computer Science/IT. B.Tech degree holders in Computer Science/IT are recruited in to the role of RRB Section Engineer or RRB Junior Engineer. Section Engineer, Junior Engineer, etc are other job profiles await those IT professionals. They are usually employed for technical, signaling and other computer based operations in railways. Recruitment for various IT post are done as per the rules of RRB and applications for the same can be forwarded through their official web portal.

i am a btech I.T graduate,i have applied for group D exam.can i get promotion to Group A level .Any other exams is there for Direct selection for group D railway employees to Group A
