As per my knowledge you have to go through the entrance exam which is conducted by the staff selection commission.For an Income Tax officer, the minimum academic qualification required is a bachelors degree, in any discipline, from a recognized university.The eligible age for the post of Income Tax officer is between 18-27 years.
The examination which you will need to crack, to become Income Tax officer is known as combined graduate level examination and is conducted by Staff Selection Commission.
