Is there ladies quota in IIT JEE ? what % of seats are reserved for ladies?

there is no ladies quota as such,
The details of the reservation of seats for the Joint Entrance Examination 2011 are as follows--

Reservation of Seat for Joint Entrance Examination, 2011

- For SC & ST candidates, 15% & 7.5% of the seats are reserved for all the IIT's and IT-BHU Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad.

- 27% seats are reserved for the OBC candidates belonging to non-creamy layer in all IIT's and IT-BHU Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad.

- Candidates with physical disability (PD) including leprosy-cured candidates, 3% seats are reserved in each of the categories.

- Two seats in each Institute are preferentially allotted to the children of defense/paramilitary personnel etc.

but the only thing is you are having concession on forms.
900/- is for general candidates and 450/- for women

There is no ladies quota for IIT JEE.The only privilage is that you will be able to fill form at half price.

Sorry To Say, That There Is No Ladies Quota In IIT JEE Entrance Exams. The Quota Is Only For OBC Candidates Only.

There is reservation of 27% seats for OBC candidates at IITs. And For SC And ST candidates, 15% & 7.5% of the seats are reserved for all the IIT's.

So, All the Resevations are Availiable for OBC And SC Candidates And No seats Quota Is Availiable for General Candidates. So, There is No quota Is Availiable for Ladies In IIT JEE Entrance Examinations.

There is a quota for the OBC , backward classes/ tribes and many more in almost the entrance exams.....

dear friend,
it IIT JEE exam, there is quota for SC, ST students, physically handicapped, OBC students but there is no girls quota. i am sorry but you will have to apply like a any other students without any reservation in seats.

Sorry, friend there is no lady quota in the IIT JEE Entrance exam. Reservation quota is available for OBC,SC,ST and P.H candidate.

well sorry we wish... but there is no quota for women,
there are sc/st quota OBC quota(27%)
but no ladies quota ... am afraid you will have to go though general category only or any other category you belong to.
But i would say work hard forget categories... go through general many people who have quota actually opt for general... so cheer up and start preparing

In IIT JEE there is no ladies quota at all. If you fall in the category of SC,ST and
OBC then you can avail the following quota.

In IIT JEE 15% quota is for SC, 7.5% for ST and 27% quota for OBCs.

Sorry,there is no ladies quota in IIT JEE.The reservation is only for the SC/ST and OBC students.Thus in order to get admission you have to secure a good rank in the IIT-JEE exam.

no, there is no ladies quota in IIT JEE.

For SC/ST candidates, respectively 15%, 7.5% seats are reserved in each programme in all the IITs.

For OBC candidates belonging to non-creamy layer, 27% seats are reserved in each programme in all the IITs.

For candidates with physical disability (PD), including leprosy-cured candidates, who are otherwise fit to pursue the course, 3% seats are reserved in each of the categories (viz GE/OBC/SC/ST).

Two seats in each institute are preferentially allotted to children of defence/paramilitary personnel killed or permanently disabled in action during war or peacetime operations (DS).

Some SC/ST/PD candidates, who do not qualify in the merit list of JEE-2011, may be offered admission to the preparatory course of one-year duration provided (i) seats reserved for respective category are vacant (ii) candidates satisfy minimum norms (iii) candidates have not registered for the preparatory course earlier in any of these institutes.

Sorry Himani but there is no ladies quota in IIT under any course. There is a quota for SC, ST, OBC, PD etc. But nothing for girls is reserved just the form is half the cost for girls.

There's already manY reservation in IIT'S , if there is ladies quota too, efforts of many thousands of students are waste....................Then there will be large number of students who will be running after this bait called IIT.Ladies quota can be considered only when there are more seats in IITs,but thatsnot the case.

IITs only provide reservation to OBC, SC and ST candidates on the basis of their castes and it is applicable to both, the boys and the girls.
