You have plenty of options as a commerce student after completing 12th. It would all depend on what exactly do you want to do. Some of the options for you are mentioned below:
BA LLB You can become lawyer by opting for BA LLB course. It is a 5 years long course which can be taken after completing 12th. You would have to appear for CLAT entrance exam in order to get admission in Law School. You need at least 50 percent marks (SC/ST 45 percet) to appear for the Common Law Admission Test. A lawyer has a great scope. You can start practicing on your own or work for a law firm. There is also an option to get government job. BCA Those who have interest in computers can opt for BCA which means Bachelor in Computer Applications. However please remember that to get a good job you would have to pursue post graduation which would be Master of Computer Application. Depending on your performance, you can find job in good IT company after MCA. B.Com A very common option after 12th commerce is B.Com. However there are not many jobs available. You can certainly go for various competitive exams like Civil Service Exam and try for IPS/IAS officer. Alternatively the other option would be banking jobs. You can apply for IBPS Clerical and PO exams. If nothing works out for you try to get admission in CA. If you have scored 55 percent in B.Com then you can get direct admission for IPCC. The last option would be to complete M.Com and get lecturer job by appearing for National Eligibility Test. BBA Management is another good option that commerce students can think about. However just like BCA, the BBA - Bachelor of Business Administration would not offer you any good job. Therefore it would be essential to do MBA - Master of Business Administration. There are various entrance exams for admission in MBA. CA Chartered Accountacy offers good future as well. However it is very difficult to complete the course since only 15 percent candidates complete the final exam every year. You can apply for Chartered Accountacy soon after completing 12th. Just appear for the CPT test and pass it with 50 percent marks. This would give you admission for the IPCC. CS Company Secretary are very much in demand today. The government has made it mandatory for companies with share capital of 5 crores to hire a Company Secretary. Therefore you can go for CS course after completing 12th standard. It is also possible to go for second stage of Company Secretary after compelting graduation with 50 percent marks. |
