can i do BCA without maths

You did not mention your highest level of academic qualification. The minimum academic qualification that a candidate has to possess in order to join this course is 12th class.

One has to secure a minimum of 50% of marks in his 12th class in order to be eligible to join this course.
One should have completed 12th Class with Physics and Chemistry as the compulsory subjects,
Even after the completion of 12th Class in Science stream also, the candidate is eligible to join this course.

So, if you have gone through Science stream in your 12th class, you are eligible to join BCA course.

Many of the colleges will give direct admission for this course.

Try to collect the list of good colleges which are offering this course and join in the college which is more convenient to you.

Gain good subject knowledge and if you are having interest to do Post Graduation courses like
-MCA
-MBA
Prepare for the respective Entrance Exam from the 2nd year of your BCA course.

You can join in various job positions like
-Database Administrator
-Software Programmer etc. soon after the completion of your BCA course.

But you will not be paid high salaries after completion of your BCA course if you join in Job.

So,to get job of higher level designation with high salary, I suggest you to opt for MCA course.

Try to hunt for the jobs in top IT companies soon after the completion of your MCA course.

Generally you should have mathematics as a subject in 12th in order to apply for BCA.

BCA-BACHELOR OF COMPUTER APPLICATION is three year under Graduate course.

The eligible candidate should have completed 12th in any stream from a recognised Board with 50% marks and at least Math as one of the subjects in 12th, is eligible to apply for BCA.

Some reputed Institution conducts entrance exam for admission to BCA course some admit on the basis of marks secured in 12th.

Hi,

Its actually not a compulsory criteria to do BCA with maths background but necessary up to certain extent.

In order to do BCA one should be from science background (covering physics and chemistry) in its 12th standard.

While, most of the institutes use to insist to cover Maths along with.

Now, a days even institutes are also asking for some kind of certification in computing for adding weight-age.

The main Course of MCA is of Three Years and Candidate must have completed BCA FROM recognized university but for BCA 12 th maths is compulsury and without 12 th maths candiadte is not elligible for BCA .

Yes, you can do BCA without maths as the eligibility criteria for the same is as under-

1. Candidate must have completed Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent

2. The minimum marks secured in 12th standard should be at least 50%

3. The candidate should have pursued the science subjects. The science subjects should include Physics and Chemistry

Most institutes insist candidates should have pursued Mathematics during 12th standard & they allowed the commerce student for the same one.

However if you want to pursue MCA after BCA then there is compulsion for maths subject in the class 12th.So better to opt it only when you are not going for the masters otherwise your BCA will be a waste for you.

i have done my 10 2 with pcb and achieved 67%. my question is that if a student clears 10 2 but fails to pass one of the subject either physics or chemistry,am i eligible to opt for this cource..also i have achieved 83 marks in computer(I.P.).

Hi, m a 10 pass student n i securd 65% n aftr dz i optng 2 take artz n aftr 10 2 wantd 2 du bca. So shal i frthr tk dz stp or only sc an cmrc studnt cn do bca???

The eligibility criteria for BCA is that you should pass your class 12 exam with minimum 50% of marks.

Along with science students, commerce students can also apply for this course. Commerce students with computer application can apply for this course.

Although there is no hard and fast rule that you need to have maths at 10+2 level but some colleges insists that you should have mathematics at 10+2 level. Therefore before taking admission make sure you gather enough information about the eligibility criteria otherwise your application form will be cancelled.

BCA stands for bechlor in computer education.
BCA is three year graduation course.
Well you can do BCA without having maths in 12th class.
There are only few universities who demands for maths in 12th class,but its not must for all universities.

Now as per your ask , i would like to tell you that yes you can do BCA Course if you haven`t passed 12th with Maths.

This is because the only necessary thing that you have to fulfill in order to pursue BCA is you must have passed 12th with physics and chemistry as your two key subjects.

But at the same , time if you want to go for MCA after BCA , then you must have Maths as one of your papers in either 12th or graduation.

No,You can not do BCA course with out having Maths.
BCA (Bachelor of Computer application) is an Under Graduate program.The duration of the course is 3year.
Eligibility for BCA:
1.The student must have complete +2 ro any Equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks & also having Mathematics as a compulsory subject in the qualifying examination.
2.Some of the reputed institute conduct entrance exam for BCA program.
so,you are not eligible for BCA program.

BCA is a best option for graduation.
The criteria for this is you should have passed 10th and your +2.
That is not compulsory you should have maths subject in PU.
If you had taken Science combination then also you are eligible for choosing BCA.
**But remember you have a maths related subject in BCA.

You can not do BCA without having maths in 12th. But if you had computer in 12th, then you can apply.

Maths/ computer and English are two compulsory subjects that are required to get admission in BCA (whether you belong from science, or arts or commerce group).

The minimum educational criteria is a pass in 10+2 in any stream with minimum 45% marks and should have either maths or computer as one of the subjects and should have English as a compulsory subject.

Some colleges conducts their own entrance exam while some seeks admission on the basis of merit.
