AIEEE - All India Engineering Entrance Exam.

This is the largest Engineering Entrance Examination in our country organized and conducted by the CBSE ever year in the April because a lot of students from different parts apply for this to get admission in the Engineering colleges and other Universities


The Basic Criteria's :-

-> You should be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized school with PCM subjects and over 60% aggregate.

-> You should be a clear pass in all the subjects in Class 12th Board exams.

-> It grants you 3 consecutive attempts.


Now as you want to know about the total number of seats which are available in the AIEEE exam are not know as every year they change.

There were 35381 seats in the year 2011, 27752 seats in 2010, and even more less 24531 in 2009.. and so on.
Thus you see that every year the number of seats in the AIEEE rises by some margin. This is because there are many new colleges which have come up and they also get AICTE and UGC grants.

So this year also the number of seats are expected to grow and it could be roughly around 38000 seats.

Talking of the seats under IIT, they are 9618 seats in all the 17 colleges which come under the IIT names including the IT BHU and ISM Dhanbad.

The eilgibility criteria for AIEEE exam are ads follows......

*The candidate should be a +2 pass from science stream with (PCM) .
*The age limit is 16 - 22 yrs.

The No. of seta in various IIT .

In AIEEE there are nearly 26000 seats in good colleges. Rather almost all the self financing engineering colleges considers the AIEEE marks for the admission into some of its seats.
In case of IITs there are nearly 9500 seats.
