Re: Value of MCA after B.Sc. in Computer Science
If you are in your 12th then it will better for you to go for B.Tech in Computer Engineering.
But if you already complete your B.Sc. in Computer Application then MCA will really can help you to go for the higher studies like M.Tech,M.Phil etc. The main difference between MCA and B.Tech in Computer Science is :- Unlike MCA , Computer Science B.Tech deals with the Computer Science as well as the engineering behind it . |

Re: Value of MCA after B.Sc. in Computer Science
Ofcourse there is lots of value of an MCA. With an MCA you can get placed in big companies with higher pay packets.
BSc in computer science wont fetch you THAT good job which an MCA can surely do. MCA will also increase your knowledge as a computer engineer so that you can compete with the BTech engineers |

Re: Value of MCA after B.Sc. in Computer Science
after B.Sc if you complete MCA then there is lots of difference. even if you do same work you salary will be more if you have MCA degree then a person who have only B.Sc in computer science.
the job opportunity for A MCA candidate is very high than B.Sc computer science student. you will deserve a good promotion if you have MCA degree than B.Sc. there are so many job for which only MCA atudent can apply. also to be a faculty of computer science in a institution you must have the master degree. |

MCA is a master degree whereas B.Sc is a bachelor degree.
there are so many job for which only MCA student can apply whereas B.Sc in computer science can not. even for a same work you will get more salary if you have MCA degree than the other who have the degree B.Sc in computer science. also to join as a faculty in an institution you must do master degree. so MCA student may join but B.Sc computer science can not. |

When you want to do Btech than I would suggest you to do MCA as Btech is equivalent to btech. since you are a graduate so doing btech will become time taking for you so my suggest is that do mca and later on MBA from growth point of view |

Re: MCA is equivalent to ME (Computer Science and Engineering)
MCA with B.Sc. (Computer Science) background is equivalent to ME (Computer Science and Engineering).
B.Sc. Computer Science (3 Yrs) + MCA (3 Yrs) = 6 Years. BE Computer Science (4 Yrs) + ME (2Yrs) = 6 Years. MCA and ME both are equal. Companies are giving equal priority to both MCA and ME. Two Master's Degrees, MCA and ME, are treated Same for jobs and there is no difference in the competence ratings. Both MCA and ME (Computer Science and Engineering) Professional Degree courses, the contents of theory and practical syllabus are Same. MCA and ME Degree holders are Equal to each other. I am looking forward to hearing all of your opinions! MCA - Master of Computer Applications. ME - Master of Engineering (Computer Science and Engineering). Thanks and best regards to you all. |

Re: Value of MCA after B.Sc. in Computer Science
Hey.. B. Sc in computer science is a good course.
MCA would be a masters course in this matter, and would certainly add value to your academics and future. You can look for different colleges offering this course both in regular and distance learning: Amity SRM Bhati Vidyapeeth LPU IGNOU Anna malai VIT Manipal |
