What is the age limit for deputy collector?
Sir what is age limit for deputy collector my DOB is 8 june 1982 so how many attempts are remaining for me including coming exam

Sorry! to say that you are not eligible to apply to prestigious
UPSC Civil Services Exam(CSE) to become a deputy collector. UPSC CSE is conducted every year to make recruitments to 24 services/posts. On clearing CSE one gets posts like IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS,etc. Eligibility For CSE : Age Limit : General Category-21-30yrs on 1st August of the year of exam OBC-21-33yrs SC/ST-21-35yrs Since your D.O.B is 8 June 1982, you have already turnes 30yrs of age in 2012. If you belong to general category you cannot apply but if you belong to reserved category you are eligible for CSE. Educational Qualification : Minimum educational qualification to appear in the CSE is, A Bachelors Degree in any discipline from a UGC/AICTE recognised University. Final year appeared/appearing candidates can also apply. Attempts : General Category-4 times OBC-7 times SC/ST-Unlimited times For more details visit www.upsc.gov.in CSE 2013 Exam notification is expected on 02.02.2013 and Prelims/CSAT exam will be held on 19.05.2013. |

Yes, you are eligible for deputy collector exam as per age criteria to apply for the post .
One can apply for the post of deputy collector through the civil services exam conducted by UPSC or State PSC. Eligibility Criteria :- -The qualification required for civil services exam is graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university. -The candidate age should be between 21 years to 35 years . -The physical qualification required for deputy collector are as under:- Height : 165 cms. Chest : 84 cms. (unexpanded) Syllabus for the exam consists of : -General Knowledge and Current Affairs -Numerical ability -History of India and Indian National Movements -Indian and World Geography -Economics and Social development -English Language Comprehension Skills -General Science -General mental ability -Logical reasoning and analytical ability -Decision making and Problem Solving -Data Interpretation |

For becoming collector/ deputy collector ,you have to appear in the entrance exam known as CSE. UPSC conducts civil service examination every year for the various posts like IAS IAS IPS etc.
To be eligible for this exam, it is must to have a bachelor's degree from recognised University. Also The age of appearing aspirants must lies in between 21 year 30 year. There is relaxation by 5 years for the SC /ST /PD category students and it is by 3 years for OBC category students. |

For the deputy collector you have to give the CSE exam which is conducted by the UPSC.For being eligible in this exam , your age must lie in between 21 year to 30 years.There is relaxation by 5 years for the SC/ST candidates, it is by 3 years for the Obc category students.
