The post of deputy collector or deputy commissioner is filled through Civil
Services exam conducted by UPSC or State PSC. You just need to have a graduation degree to appear the exams. The examination will consist of some compulsory papers and some optional papers. The selection of optional subject for the examination depends on your choice. You can visit UPSC website or the State PCS of your state for further details. |

Eligibility :
Academic : Degree in Science/Engineering. Transport Officer : Degree. Age : 19-28 years. Relaxable upto 33 years for BC candidates. Physical Height : 165 cms. Chest : 84 cms. (unexpanded) for Supt. Prohibition & Excise or DSP/ACP. Plan of Examination The examination consists of two stages Preliminary Exam (2 objective-type papers) General Studies Any one of the following subjects: Agriculture Botany Commerce Chemistry Economics Geography Indian History Mathematics Physics Political Science Sociology Zoology Main Exam Compulsory English General Studies I General Studies II Optional (Any two of the following) Accountancy & Auditing Agronomy Animal Husbandry & Dairying Applied Mechanics Banking Botany Chemistry Economics Food Science Geography Geology History Horticulture Law Management & Public Administration Mathematics Microbiology Philosophy Sociology Political Science Psychology Statistics Physics Zoology. Written examination is followed by Viva-Voce and Personality Test for successful candidates. |
