PCS i.e. Punjab Civil Service Examination is a combined competitive examination for various posts.

Age criteria:

• Applicant should be in between 21 years to 38 years of age as on 1st Jan, 2015.
• Relaxation of age will be proved as per government instruction i.e.
• Provided that in the case of Punjab Police service you should have attained 21 years of age as minimum age criteria and shouldn't have attained 27 years of the age.
• For reserved category like Schedule casts and backward classes of Punjab, 5 years relaxation is given as per Punjab Government instruction.
• The upper age limit for Punjab government or central government employee is till 47 years.
• Age relaxation to upper age limit is 10 years for Disabled candidates of Punjab only.
• Ex-servicemen of Punjab domicile shouldn't have attained maximum age limit.

Qualification criteria:

• Applicant should possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline from recognized university.
• Applicant should have passed Punjabi subject in Matrics or its equivalent standard.

Candidate age should be between 21 years to 37 years.For Deputy Superintendent Police age should be between 21 years to 28 years.

Candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of Bhutan.

Minimum Height for mens---5 feet and 7 inches

Minimum Height for womens---5 feet 3 inches

Syllabus of Main Examination---

1. English
2. General Studies-I:-- History, Geography and Society
3. General Studies-II:-- Indian Constitution& Polity, Governance
4. General Studies-III:-- Economy, Statistics and Security Issues
5. General Studies-IV:-- Science & Technology, Environment, Problem Solving & Decision Making

PCS stands "Provincial Civil Service" are actually Civil based administrative service of the state government

Eligibility criteria :

Candidates must have completed Graduate/Bachelor degree or its equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university .

Age limit : 21 years to 40 years

Candidates must be a Citizen of Indian or subject of Nepal

I am a general category aspirant for PCS. I want to know upper age limit for PCS exam in different states of India.
