The precursor of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) was established on May 1, 1937. The Punjab Public Service Commission was resurged in February, 1948 and it conducts written examination for recruiting eligible candidates for various government services of the state. The commission is involved in all recruitments related to the posts of Forest Officers Examination, Treasury Officers, BDPO’s, Distt. Probation Officers, DS (Jail), DSP’s, PCS (J), PCS (EB) & Allied Services, etc…

Job Profile:

Punjab Public Service commission (PPSC) invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Sub Divisional Engineer (SDE).

Pay Scale –  Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs.5400

Eligibility:

Age criteria – Candidates must be in the age group of 18 and 37. However, some relxation can be obtained in the upper and lower age limit as per rules.

Educational Qualification – The candidates must have done degree in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering from any recognized university or institution. The candidates must have passed Punjabi in Matriculation or its equivalent.

Application fees:

The cost of application form if obtained at the counter is Rs. 25, and if obtained by post bank draft of Rs. 75 must be sent. The examination fee is Rs. 50 (For SC/ST and backward classes of Punjab), Rs. 200 for others and no fees for ex-servicemen of Punjab.
