Red face Re: What are the available options for further studies in India and abroad after doing MBBS?

The best option You can go for is DNB which stands for Diplomate of National Board.
For getting admission in DNB course, you need to pass DNB-CET
After clearing CET, you have to apply to the college/hospital enlisted in the Information bulletin (can be downloaded from NBE website)

People die for MD/MS seats since they are more popular than DNB among people, DNB was launched few years back while MD/MS is running from centuries and not to forget that these people around us get sick and look for a specialized Doctor and when he has a choice to make among 2 Doctors;
One is MD, General Medicine (Delhi) and other is DNB, General Medicine (India) - obviously his choice of Doctor would be one whose degree he is familiar with. [Yes, the degree will not contain the name of the city from where you have done DNB; unlike MD/MS instead it will be DNB (India)]

-Frankly speaking doctors I have encountered doing DNB, they passed DNB-CET long back, but since they could not get any MD/MS seat joined DNB (Validity is for 2 Years)
-“The Exit Exam or Final Exam” is tougher than MD/MS, makes people think twice before joining DNB course.
-But, as far as I know DNB has high reputation among Private set-up, if somebody dreaming to work in a 5 star hospital someday - DNB not at all a bad option!
-Also there are many prestigious hospitals/colleges in the DNB list, if you can get any of those hospitals, not a bad deal for scarifying a MD seat.
