After 9th there is nothing to do with IPS.

The eligible candidate aspiring for IPS, Civil Service Exam, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within tghe age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. The candidate should possess good Physical and Mental Physique. So if you are interested for IPS, you must first complete Graduation degree in any stream of education. Re: What can I do after 9th to do IPS
I believe that the foundation to become IAS/IPS starts immediately after 9th only. a well monitored/guided student can achieve results if proper conselling is provided from the very beginning.
Is there any institute/Mentor who can give guidance to such students? |

Re: What can I do after 9th to do IPS
It is too early for you to think about Indian Police Service. Right now keep your focus on studies. Your focus should be on Class 10th at the moment. First you should complete it and then focus on Class 12th.
You should know that you can complete 12th standard taking any subjects. Arts, Commerce and Science streams students are eligible for the Indian Police Service. After you have completed 12th standard, take admission for any graduation course and complete it. It is important to remember that neither the course you pick for graduation and neither the percentage obtained in it are important to apply for the Civil Service Examination. The Indian Police Service is conducted under Civil Service Examination. You can appear for it after clearing graduation. But it should be completed from a recognized university. Before you appear for the Civil Service Examination, give yourself 4-6 months to prepare for it. Either you can start preparing for the IPS during the final year of the degree course or after completing it. Eligibility 1. Civil Service Examination is strictly for Indian nationals. 2. Bachelor degree from recognized university will be required. 3. There is no percentage criteria. 4. You should be at least 21 years old to apply. 5. Candidate older than 30 years are not eligible. 6. Upper age limit is extended by 3 years for OBC. 7. Similarly it is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST. Exam Pattern 1. Preliminary Exam 2. Main Exam 3. Interview |
