i have appeared in bds final year. i want to know that what can i do after bds except mds and starting up a clinic. tell me the options with which i can get good job with handsome salary

Hello,
Have you ever thought of joinig government bodies? If not,then you must think about it. Since you dont seem to be interested in MDS, you may join government hospitals, or you may also try to crack UPSC examination to get into Army dental corp which also includes Indian Navy through short service commission, provided you score a minimum of 60% in your final BDS exam and you must possess 1year rotary internship recognised by DCI and a permanent dental registration certificate.
Since BDS does not leave you with many choices, one must go for higher studies to have a more and better career options.

If you do not want to set up a clinic: then following are the options:
Do One year PG Diploma course in any reputed college, authorized by dcii india
You can select any branch of specialization like Prosthodontics, Pedodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Oral Surgery, Oral medicine and much more.

You have to be talented, and complete the specialization with full vigour.

Career options:

Teaching job, Lecturer in college
Govt. Job in Forensic Department, Defense forces. For that you have to clear UPSC exams and the competition is tuff nowadays.
Do some research work for any Lab
Offer consultation for famous personalities

there are many options available to you excluding the ones which you dont want
like you can go for MBA,or can go for specializations like pharma or hosp admin etc for health professionals.There is PhD if you are interested in research. You can do Dental Materials.
the other non medical options available are IAS, IPS etc,

You can even specialize in Hospital administration(MHA)
Try these 2 options if you dont get MDS or dont want to start up clinic. Its possible to get in these 2 since there are more no of seats and so more chance to get through

There are many career options after bds you can start private practice, But normally, people go for MDS after doing BDS. If you are not interested in MDS, you can also opt for MBA in hospital administration which is an upcoming course........

as you don't want to do mds after bds means that you are not interested in higher studies so you can look for some mba options definitely since it will give you a bit change as well and its also a good earning course where you can find jobs in various fields .

mba offers large no. of courses along with large no. of seats so you can easily fo for it ..

after bds in mds also there is still lots of struggle.now even in accademics also mds are getting salary of 18000 only.if some one had completed his/her mds from government college then its a best option.but due to 160 all india seats available its not possible to take admisssion and taking 2-3 years drop is seriously wastage of time.now if one wants to do mds from private college then it i dont thinks that its worthfull to spend min 120000 rs.so better go for mba/mha.in less time and less fees u can earn satisfactory.because bds n mds courses demands a lot of money

me gonna for bds by paying a huge fee.......i wanna get a high salary for repaying the loan i had taken..so pls give me a right option..........

I have completed my bds
All i can advice is that in present times,bds as a career will only suit those people who have some one in their family /relative belonging to this profession.
And regarding pay..you really cannot expect decent pay in your initial years..you have yo be constantly motivated and hard working
