Eligibility to join Merchant Navy for BTech Marine student with 0.5D eyesight of right eye?
Hello friends, My left eye is 6/6 and right eye is -0.5D. I am doing BTech in Marine Engineering and would like to join Merchant Navy after my graduate. So, I would like to know about my eligibility for joining Merchant Navy. Please tell me immediately.

Eligibility
Must have completed engineering from AICTE approved college with 60%marks. Must not exceed 30 years on the date of commencement of training. Eye vision ( unaided 0.5 6/12 ) in each eye or 6.7 (6/9) in better eye and 0.33 (6/12) in other eye with no colour blindness and medically fit as per Directorate General of shipping. Must be fluent in written and spoken english. |
