No, you are ineligible to apply for Merchant Navy. Physical standard is every important to apply for Merchant Navy like Eyesight, Weight and Chest etc... The candidates who have not satisfied the physical standard are not eligible for Merchant navy course. The eyesight of the candidate must be 6/6, but since that your eyesight is not 6/6 so you are not ineligible to apply for Merchant Navy. Here I provide the Physical standard criteria for Merchant Navy. Hope this helps you.


Merchant Navy Physical Standard:-

-Applicant eye Sight = 6/6,
-Applicant Height = 167 cms,
-Applicant Weight = 50 Kg
-Applicant Chest = 77 cm
