If you have scored these marks then you are qualify in NET Examination. You have to appeared for all 3 papers of NET in one day, the examination is conducted in 2 session. NET Stands for National Eligibility Test. * The NET Exam is conducted twice every year in the months of June & December by the University Grants Commission. * For 2012 , the June Exam has already been conducted and the notifications regarding December Exam are most likely to be released by the end of october , 2012 Now as per your ask , the Required criteria for Qualifying UGC NET For Lecturership are : * You must have completed your graduation from any recognized college/university. * There is no age limit for the post of lecturer. * The Exam is conducted in two sessions comprising of three papers. * You must have to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in all the three papers to qualify for the same. Dear friend , Of course , you can apply for UGC NET if , following requirements are satisfy : * The Exam is conducted in two sessions comprising of three papers. *You must have completed your graduation from any recognized college/university. * There is no age limit for the post of lecturer. * You must have to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in all the three papers to qualify for the same. i hope that it will help you . best of luck. umang_28 |

University Grants Commission- National Eligibility Test is conducted for the PhD and College lectureship in the central government colleges. It is necessary for any candidate who wishes to become lecturer in central government colleges to clear the National Eligibility Test.
The NET entrance exam is conducted twice a year. It is conducted by the University Grants Commission. Only candidates with PG degree are eligible to apply for the National Eligibility Test. Eligibility 1. Only candidates of Indian origin can apply. 2. Post graduation degree in any discipline. 3. Must have completed PG from UGC recognized university. 4. Minimum percentage required for General/OBC is 55 percent. 5. SC/ST need 50 percent marks. 6. Those in Final year of PG may also apply. 7. But final year students should submit their PG degree in 2 years. 8. Choose NET subject which is relevant to PG course. 9. There is no restriction on number of attempts. Age Limit 1. The age limit is 28 years if applying for JRF. 2. Age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC. 3. For SC/ST age limit is relaxed by 5 years. 4. There is no upper age criteria for lectureship. |

The eligibility criteria required for the NET examination for Lectureship are prescribed as below:- * Completion of post-graduation in any discipline with 55% marks from any recognized university. * Final year contenders are also eligible. * 50% marks required for SC/ST contenders. * Age limit:- Not required for Lectureship. * Nationality:- Indian. |

The abbreviation of NET is National Eligibility Test. University Grants Commission organizes National Eligibility Test every year for two times. National Eligibility Test is organized in these two months:- # June. # December. National Eligibility Test is organized for these two positions:- # Junior Research Fellowship. # Lectureship. The educational qualifications required for the National Eligibility Test are below mentioned:- # Candidates must have finished their master degree in any curriculum from any approved institution. # Open and OBC candidates must have secured 55% marks in master degree. # SC/ST candidates must have secured 50% marks. # Candidates of last year are also preferable for this exam. The age criteria and relaxation regarding with NET examination are below mentioned:- # 20-28 yrs(Junior Research Fellowship). # No age required(Lectureship). # Relaxation:- 5% relaxation is assumed for OBC,SC/ST and PH candidates. # Citizenship:- Must be Indian.
