I want to know the date of ugc net exam held on 24 june 2012....please tell me the date

UGC NET exam was held on 17-06-2012 in the month of June 2012.

Basically, this exam is held twice in a year. once in June & again in December. It is usually conducted on third (or) fourth sunday of month.
This exam is conducted jointly by CSIR and UGC. The qualifying merit candidates will get a research fellowship with a monthly stipend of Rs.16000/- or get lectureship at top universities and colleges.
However, all the qualified candidates will only get lectureship. Many universities and colleges accept only NET qualified candidates to apply as lecturers & associate professors. Hence, qualifying this exam has become an aim of every aspiring lecturer.
