i have completed ma in english.i want to apply for UGC net exam.i want to know the date of UGC net exam 2012.

Yes, you are eligible. Master degree holders in any subject are eligible for UGC NET. This qualification must be ontained from a recognized institute with a minimum of 55% marks. There is no upper age limit for lectureship. For JRF, the upper age is 28 years. NET is conducted twice an year, during the month of June and December.

There are 2 ways to become a Govt College Professor :
1.You have to clear the UGC NET or SET/SLET Exams. 2.Other option is,securing a P.hd Degree in your subject NET stands for National Eligibility Test NET Exams are conducted by UGC twice a year in June and December NET Exam is conducted for: Lecturership Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Educational Qualifications for the UGC-NET exams is: Post Graduation pass Minimum 55% marks in Post Graduation for the General and OBC candidates Minimum 50% marks for the SC/ST candidates Age Limit: Lectureship-No age limit JRF-maximum age to apply is 28 years OBC/WOMEN/SC/ST candidates can apply till 33 years Next NET exams would be conducted in December 2013 You can fill the forms in October 2013 through the website www.ugcnetonline.in |

National Eligibility Test is conducted twice a year in the fixed months. First time it is conducted in June while the second time it is conducted in December. The responsibility of conducting the exam lies with University Grants Commission.
It is necessary to have minimum qualification of post graduation to apply for National Eligibility Test. It does not matter whether you are applying for college lectureship or Junior Research Fellowship. The educational criteria remains the same. If you meet the criteria required for National Eligibility Test, only then you should apply for it. Since the June exam has been concluded, you now have the option to appear for the exam in December. The registration will start only in either October or November. You will find that out once University Grants Commission issues a notification for next National Eligibility Test. This notification will not come before October/November. The registration is done only online. You will have to register through the official website of UGC-NET. NET Eligibility 1. You should be Indian national to apply for NET. 2. Post graduation degree holders are eligible for exam. 3. Final year students can also apply for it. 4. Must secure 55 percent marks in post graduation. 5. SC/ST need 50 percent marks to be eligible. 6. Final year students should submit the degree in 2 years timeframe. 7. Your subject will be "English" for NET exam. 8. There is age limit of 28 years for Junior Research Fellowship. 9. The age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC. 10. While for SC/ST it is relaxed by 5 years. 11. Must be at least 19 years old to apply for lectureship. 12. There is no upper age limit for lectureship jop. |
