Re: What is the difference between mechanical engineering and production engineering? I have scored 67772 in EAMCET
Dear friend,
Mechanical engineering: -->>Mechanical engineering exposes on theory with practicals on wider area. -->>It aims to technical or mechine oriented aspects such as design,Operation and maintainance. Production engineering: -->>Production engineering reduces its wide area of mechnical engineering but gives good exposure on making mechanical components in industries such as, Automobile parts etc. -->>It aims at human resources in companies in areas such as planning, Production, organization, methods. I fell that Mechanical engineering is general engineering where as production engineering is a specialised mechanical engineering. All the best......................... |

Re: What is the difference between mechanical engineering and production engineering? I have scored 67772 in EAMCET
Dear aspirant,
Production engineering is a subbranch for mechanical engineering.Mechanical engineering deals with the all theories required to design and manufacturing and utilizing the machinery.Whereas production engineering only deals with how ,where, why to produce goods and optimal quantity to produce goods.Production engineering involves manufacturing, economics, inventory control, master production schedule, material requirement planning, manufacturing and non-manufacturing technologies. Based on your interest you can choose any of the stream in you engineering. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ALL THE BEST |
