No, after completing Civil Engineering you are not eligible for becoming Naval Architect.

For becoming a Naval Architect, you must pursue Bachelors’ course in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.

After pursuing Bachelor's course, you have to pursue Masters’ in Naval Architecture followed by PhD programs in Naval Architecture.

Then, you can apply for Naval Architect jobs in Government or Private companies.

However, you can continue your field of Civil Engineering as just after completing it you can get job in any Construction company.

Naval Architect is a sub division of engineering that deals with the design, fabrication, conservation and operation of marine vessels and structures which can be used in the water. Aspirant who have studied the various courses in naval architect can become Naval Architects.

How to become a Naval Architect :

To be eligible for Naval Architect, aspirants have to complete the graduation course in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. In addition they have to study the Master of Science in Engineering and the research program in Engineering and Applied Science for getting top designation in the Naval Academy.

You, may apply for this course but I will suggest you to stay in your field only because in the Civil Engineering also has a lot of career options in both the sector i.e in public as well as private sectors. Many international infrastructure companies are recruiting them for various constructional work. You can find employment in various consultancy firms, road projects, housing societies etc carried out by the Central Government.

You can even find a job in the educational sector in the school, universities for lecturer position. You can even work in many research and development works etc.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
