IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service and IPS stands for Indian Police Service. These are the top civil services in India and hence there is a huge competition among the candidates in order to get jobs in these civil services.

There is a single common entrance exam for the candidates in order to make entry into various civil services.

This exam is called civil services exam and this exam is being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year.

The complete selection procedure will be
CSAT Exam (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
Civil Services Main Exam
Interview

The following is the eligibility criteria that is required for the candidates in order to make entry into these civil services

Academic Qualification :
-One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university.
-Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation can also appear for this exam.

Age criteria :
-Candidates of General category should be in the age group of 21-30 years.
-Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category.
-Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category.

In CSAT Exam, you will be having questions from the following subjects.
General Awareness
General English
Quantitative Aptitude

But for Civil Services Main Exam, you have to opt for one optional subject and have to take the Main Exam only on that optional subject.

As you have completed your Graduation, you are eligible to apply for CSAT Exam.

For this academic year, this exam was already conducted.

So, you can have good preparation for this exam for this academic year and apply for this exam in the next academic year.

Wish you all the best.
