In syllabus of VAO, there is general english, general reasoning, basic mathematics and general studies. There are so many books in market for it, e.g gk of tarun goyal, reasoning by aggarwal, maths of ncert etc.

VAO Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

~VAO stands for Village Administrative Officers. Tamilnadu Public Service Commission conducts an examination for this post whenever there is a vacancy for the same. The notifications are released in two parts.

~The notifications for this year's exam is yet to be released. May be in the month of June or July they might release a notification. If that happens then the exam is likely to take place in September. But then its a tentative date.

~To give this exam you need to have a secondary school leaving certificate. That is the minimum qualification required for this post. Even if you have higher qualifications you still have to show this certificate

~The minimum age limit for giving this exam is 21 years. The upper age limit for giving this exam is 30 years for general category candidates and 40 years for the reserved category candidates.

~To prove your medical fitness you need to show them medical certificates during the exam time because selectors expects that only physically fit candidates will sit for this exam.

~You will be posted in the villages of Tamilnadu therefore it is important for you to have fluency in the language they speak which is Tamil.

~For the exam questions will come from the following sections: General Knowledge and General Tamil/General English. You will get three hours to complete the whole paper.
