Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.IAS exam not require any kind of percentage marks in graduation degree.

Age Criteria :-

21-30 years for the GENERAL candidates
21-33 years for the OBC candidates
21-35 years for the SC\ST candidates

The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Pattern for Preliminary Exam:-

(Paper 1) (200 marks) - Duration : Two hrs.

1. Current events of national and international importance
2. History of India and Indian national movement
3. Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world
4. Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc.
5. Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.
6. General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that donot require subject specialization
7. General science.

(Paper II) (200 marks) – Duration : Two hrs

1. Comprehension
2. Interpersonal skills including communication skills
3. Logical reasoning and analytical ability
4. Decision making and problem solving
5. General mental ability
6. Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level)
7. English language comprehension skills (Class X level)
8. Questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills of Class X level (last item in the Syllabus of Paper-II) will be tested through passages from English language only without providing Hindi translation thereof in the question paper.

Dear Aspirant,

IAS Entrance exam is conducted by UPSC every years for those candidate who are aspiring to become an IAS Officer.....

For Becoming an IAS officer a candidate have to apply for Civil Service Exam and have to Qualify in it.....

Education:-

At least Graduation degree in any field or pursuing final year in Graduation......

Age:-

For General Category 21 to 30 years.

For OBC it should be between 21 to 33 years.

For SC/ST it should be between 21 to 35 years.

The acronym for IAS is Indian Administrative Services.

The Indian Administrative Service is the administrative civil service of the Government of India.

Indian Administrative Service officers hold key positions in the Union Government, State governments and Public Sector Undertakings. The Administrative Service is one of the three All India Services.

The IAS examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC). It has three stages (Preliminary, Mains and Personnel interview) and is considered to be extremely challenging.

The eligibility criteria required for the IAS examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of graduation in any discipline from any recognized college or university.

* Final year contenders are also eligible.
