what is the importance of b.tech 1st year result in placement..please tell me the importance

see, you should always try to score above 7 because that is the cut of marks for most IT companies in every year. try achieving better result each next year, it adds much value. good luck !

hi! at the time of placement the percentage will counts from 1st year 1st sem..........so the same importance is there as same as remaining years.............to be frank 1st year is some wt easy to get scoring..............bt no problem try ur level best its possible..............al d bst

Actually for Placements the first requirement they will see is CGPA of the candidate .
So , you should maintain a good CGPA to get selected in some good companies .
To maintain CGPA , first year is the best opportunity , because in first year the scoring is very easy compared to the following years . So , if you score good GPA in first year , that will help to maintain good CGPA .
Thus first year results plays a major role in Placements .

You are doing B.Tech at this moment
So it is very important to score at least 7.5 DGPA throughout 8 semester
So you will have to be very careful from the very first semester so that you can appear in all companies.
Try to score as much as you can in your 1st year.

For example. if a company set cut off as 7 CGPA, then its the aggregate CGPA.
Many college follows a particular resume pattern.

If your college follows such pattern in which all year marks are mentioned then you will have to justify your low marks in each year. However, aggregate cut off is important for reaching the next round of process.

If you have to make resume on your own, then you can write aggregate marks and not yearwise marks to hide your low grade point in any year (in case you have)

i can carry only 6 .2 cgpa in first year but am sure about to score cgpa 8.5 on next year shall i get good placements
