Re: What is the importance of a Chemical Equation?
Hi dear..
You must be tired of learning chemical equation and hence you are asking this question. Well a chemical equation is a short hand representation of the chemical reaction between two or more different chemically reactive substances. It is used because Chemical equation always remains same all over the world. Ok let me explain you, if a french , german , mexican scientist meet , they don't know each other's language and if every one start using their own name for chemicals, their behaviours and chemical reaction , it would be extremely difficult for anyone to understand, so Chemicals are given a shorthand notation like Calcium > Ca , Lead > Pb , Gold > Au etc. so everyone can understand the reaction easily. Moreover it would be really difficult to write full sentences on how a substance react with another. You may not know what I mean as you probably be a student of 9th or 10 th standard, but as you grow and go for higher studies, you will know what I'm trying to say. All the best..!! Sammy |

Re: What is the importance of a Chemical Equation?
CHEMICAL EQUATION:
--it is evidence of chemical reaction --it is formal description of chemical reactions --for recognition of reactant & product follow following tips to write chemical equation: --carefully identify reactants and products --write the appropriate formulas for reaction --write a prelim unbalanced equation --then by trial and hit method try to balance it --never change identities of reactants and products --an atom may be represent as atom ,molecule, element or compound --coefficients used must give smallest integers to give a balanced equation |
