GATE score is mostly considered by public sector companies rather than private sector companies. Valid GATE score will help you to seek job positions in PSU’s. BHEL, ONGC, etc are examples of some of such PSU’s. Details on this will be available in their job notification. You can expect priority in job market, if you have a good GATE percentile.

i m studying b.e 3rd year ece n m planning to write the gate exam n hence m planning to attend coaching for the same... is this a good idea??

except 17 companies which recruit through gate2014, any govt. company shall recruit eg. dvc,electricity board
